We are a small theatre company, situated in the heart of Padstow, which was originally formed over 50 years ago. 20 years ago we were offered the chance of buying our own premises, a former Methodist Church Hall, and since then have worked hard to modernise our theatre with central heating, raised seating, new lighting and sound systems, and many other improvements.
We are entirely self funded, and we produce 3 or 4 shows each year, all of which help us to keep the theatre going. We have a dedicated band of performers, wardrobe mistresses (we hardly ever hire costumes!) and set builders.
In a typical year we would start with a pantomime in January/February, a play (usually a comedy) at Easter, a Summer Show (usually a full musical) and sometimes an Old Time Music Hall in the Autumn.
Our theatre is called the Little Theatre for a very good reason - we only seat 60 and we are pleased to say that for nearly all our shows, we sell out. We have a very loyal local following, and many visitors to Padstow come back year after year to see our shows.
